Continuing Professional Development

At BWCET we offer a range of high-quality professional development programmes to support career progression and development for all colleagues both within our Trust schools and beyond. These include centrally-led training courses, opportunities to observe practice within our schools and a key focus on collaboration to ensure that the best strategies and approaches are not locked within one school.  

Our CPD is underpinned by the latest academic research and proven practice and the impact can be seen in the sustained high performance of our pupils. 

Alongside this offer, the Centre for Teaching houses the nationally accredited CPD available to our staff. Our Centre for Teaching can support with getting into teaching, the Early Career Framework and National Professional Qualifications. The Centre for Teaching is able to support staff from initial teacher training to expert teacher, from leadership to headship. 

All our CPD programmes are available to schools within and beyond the Trust.
