{"id":119,"date":"2024-10-15T09:52:21","date_gmt":"2024-10-15T09:52:21","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/bwcet.com\/?page_id=119"},"modified":"2024-10-15T09:52:21","modified_gmt":"2024-10-15T09:52:21","slug":"finance","status":"publish","type":"page","link":"https:\/\/bwcet.com\/?page_id=119","title":{"rendered":"Finance"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Finance<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The overall aim of the Finance function is to operate a high standard of financial management in line with the requirements of the Academy Trust Handbook, whilst providing an efficient and effective service to meet the needs of the Trust.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-group has-white-background-color has-background is-layout-constrained wp-block-group-is-layout-constrained\">\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">The key areas of service provision are:&nbsp;<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Production of management accounts for use at both Academy and Trust level&nbsp;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Setting and monitoring of budgets at both Academy and Trust level&nbsp;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Finance administration service to all schools including:&nbsp;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Processing of purchase and sales invoices&nbsp;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Payments to suppliers&nbsp;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Processing of expense claims&nbsp;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Statutory responsibilities including VAT returns, ESFA reporting and HMRC reporting&nbsp;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Management of both internal and external audit&nbsp;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Maintaining an up-to-date finance system to ensure effective reporting and control&nbsp;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Financial Management and reporting for Bishop Wilkinson Commercial Services and the BWCET internal catering service&nbsp;<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The finance department comprises a central team of 6 finance assistants and a central finance manager, overseen by the Chief Financial Officer.
